One of my friends Michelle, has a room mate who was a victim of this bitch, and thought it would be a good idea to let as many people know about her as possible, just in case she has more victims out there.

Something tells me she is going to be really popular with the ladies in prison!

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — Manhattan Beach detectives tracked down and arrested a woman they say is a prolific identity thief, wanted for crimes in at least three states.

Show me the MONEY!

Police were able to determine the true identity of a woman who called herself “Gia Hendricks,” in an investigation into several reports that she has stolen the identities of others to buy things with their credit cards, according to a news release issued by the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The woman’s real name is Maria Christina Johnson, 40, according to the news release.

“It’s her charm,” said Chris Hainka, Johnson’s husband, who also claims to be among her victims. “She can get anything she wants.”

Hainka met Johnson on the Internet a year ago. They were married in january after dating for eight months. Four months later, Hainka kicked Johnson out after she allegedly stole thousands of dollars from him and his friends.

“I could not believe it,” he said.

Johnson, who is wanted in Oregon and Washington on suspicion of identity theft crimes, often posed as a wealthy person who ran a modeling agency to befriend unsuspecting people before using their identities to gain cash and property, officials said.

Johnson also served a two-year prison stint in Washington for charges similar to the ones she will face in California.

Johnson also allegedly claimed to be associated with the Hendrick Motorsports Racing Team by using her assumed name. Having no known permanent address or vehicle, she would use the people she met to find places to stay, police said.

Last month, a Manhattan Beach resident met Johnson at a bar in Hermosa Beach and took her home, said Mike Rosenberger, detective for the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The following morning, after dropping her off, the man noticed that his credit card was missing. A few days later, he discovered charges totaling about $9,000 on his missing card.

Johnson allegedly bought clothing, shoes and jewelry, spending $2,000 at a clothing store, $700 on a bicycle in Hermosa Beach, and purchased bottle service at 12th and Highland in Manhattan Beach. For a $150 bill at the Strand House restaurant, she tipped $100, Rosenberger said.

While on her shopping spree, Johnson had been staying with another woman in Hermosa Beach. The woman, realizing she may have been a victim of Johnson’s, contacted the Manhattan Beach man, Rosenberger said.

Manhattan Beach police arrested Johnson Tuesday in Hollywood on suspicion of forgery and burglary. She is being held at the Manhattan Beach Police Department jail facility. Her bail was set at $80,000. She has been arrested in the past for identity theft, forgery, theft, bail jumping and fraud.

Johnson is due in court Thursday, where she will likely enter some kind of plea.

Anyone with more information on Johnson is urged to call Manhattan Beach police at 310-802-5127.

This, just SCREAMS WTF!

SLIDELL, La.  Police said a naked man who appeared to be drunk or on drugs broke into a home, cooked and ate a meal and took a shower before leaving, wrapped only in a sheet.

Slidell Police Capt. Kevin Foltz said a video surveillance system at the home shows that the naked man first used a garden hose to shower outside the house.

He later broke several windows, entered the house and ransacked it before cooking himself a meal, having several drinks and showering again.

It happened early Monday while the home’s owner was away.

Police chief Freddy Drennan was hoping for the public’s help in finding the suspect.

Pictures of the man have been released in hopes someone will recognize him.

This is seriously fuckin funny, this is on par with robbing some place and leaving your ID behind! It’s true what they say, CRIME DOESN’T PAY.

SANTA FE SPRINGS — Four people are in custody, accused of breaking into a check-cashing business in Santa Fe Springs and stealing money from an ATM machine.

The break-in occurred at the Cash N More check-cashing business at 10805 Orr and Day Road in Santa Fe Springs about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Rob Hanson of the Whittier Police Department, which patrols Santa Fe Springs.

The thieves used crow bars to break the front window and get inside. A vehicle with a chain attached to it pulled the ATM outside.

The suspects took apart the machine to get the cash box, which ironically only had $40 in it.

“There’s usually a lot more cash in there, it’s just one of the off-days and forty dollars was all that was in there,” owner Frank Gonzalez, Jr told KTLA.

After the burglary, the four led Whittier police and California Highway Patrol officers on a chase into South Los Angeles, where, with the assistance of Los Angeles police officers, they were arrested.

Officers also recovered the cash box and the two getaway vehicles, according to Los Angeles and Whittier police.

Investigators believe the suspects may be linked to a series of other ATM break-ins.

The owners are working to repair the damage to their store.

Side of Guac With Your Hate?

L.A. eatery El Coyote, long known for attracting a heavily LGBT client base, is facing the heat now that bloggers have revealed one of the managers, who is a niece of the original owners, had donated to the pro-Proposition 8 campaign. El Coyote’s answer: a free lunch/press conference giving her a forum to explain her decision. But the 70-some people in attendance were none too pleased with what they heard. Is a boycott the answer?

An Advocate.com exclusive posted November 12, 2008

The El Coyote Mexican café has been a staple of the Los Angeles restaurant scene for seven decades. Not too far from gay ground zero West Hollywood, the kitschy decor and cheap margaritas have been drawing customers for decades, particularly members of the LGBT community, who flock to the restaurant’s unofficial gay Thursdays for drinks and food.

But on Wednesday morning it wasn’t about enchilada plate specials. El Coyote opened its doors early to host about 70 opponents of Proposition 8, many of whom had been longtime customers. Marjorie Christoffersen — a manager, regular fixture at the restaurant, and the niece of the original owner — was revealed by bloggers and a local food website to be a $100 donor to the Yes on 8 campaign.

After getting hundreds of angry e-mails and phone calls, El Coyote staff invited customers to a free lunch with Christoffersen to explain her position. In the restaurant’s back dining room, a visibly shaken and tearful Christoffersen trembled as she read from a prepared statement.

“I’m sick at heart if I offended anyone in the gay community, ” Christoffersen said as family members flanked her. She pleaded with the crowd not to boycott the restaurant, telling them the only people to get hurt are the families of the El Coyote’s 89 employees. “This was a personal donation, ” she said, “not the El Coyote’s.

“It saddens me that my faith may keep you away from the El Coyote, ” she added.

But the press conference quickly went south when people in the crowd began asking questions. A man identifying himself as an ex-member of the Mormon Church asked if Marjorie was willing to donate to No on 8.

She started crying before saying… “I will not.”

Chaos ensued, the crowd erupted — many of them calling for a full on boycott of the restaurant.

Christoffersen and the employees of El Coyote are in the cross hairs of the next phase of the Prop. 8 protests. Will LGBTs punish businesses that espoused support for the passage of the marriage ban?

One of the restaurant’s managers, identifying himself as Bill, said he was upset by the reaction and the potential loss of loyal customers, but noted that so far business had “not at all” suffered since the news broke of Christoffersen’s donation. But Bill explained that the restaurant was making a donation to Lambda Legal and another LGBT-related charity, in support of what is expected to be a lengthy court battle over Prop. 8.

The debate on what to do continued after Christoffersen finished her remarks. A brief question-and-answer period deteriorated into a shouting match between some of the Prop. 8 opponents and Christoffersen. Her family then hustled her out of the restaurant.

One regular customer suggested Christoffersen didn’t understand what she had done (can the bitch not use google). “We have to be compassionate, ” he said.

Another Prop. 8 opponent disagreed, saying Christoffersen “is not taking any responsibility for how anyone feels.” A third customer pointed out that “Marjorie’s power is her money, ” and that each of them had to decide how to use their own cash: “That’s an individual choice we all have to make.”

An El Coyote waitress stood up and pleaded with her customers not to abandon the staff, many of whom are gay or have gay family members. She noted that working at El Coyote made it easier to accept her own brother when he came out.

One woman, who identified herself as a documentary filmmaker, wondered aloud “Who are we going after next?” after describing the furor as a pile-on against just one Yes on 8 donor who made herself available to her critics.

A host of people shouted back. “We’re going after everyone!” one man yelled.

Another attendee wanted to know if people in the room would be willing to help employees who did not want to work at El Coyote find other employment.

The boycott issue is not likely to go away soon. The morning of the El Coyote discussion, the president of the West Hollywood Democratic Club sent out an e-mail blast to encourage people to boycott businesses that supported Prop. 8. The blast specifically mentioned El Coyote.

The discussion broke up as many attendees opted not to stay for a free lunch. Outside the restaurant one gay couple said they had been twice-a-week customers. One of them said he didn’t know if they would be back, but his partner chimed in to say he didn’t think he could ever go back.

“That changes my answer, ” the first man said, holding up his hand and showing his wedding ring. “We’re married, and I’m not going back without him.”

I don’t condone the shouting and lashes she is taking, but I don’t see why any member of our community would eat there now. There is a stigma attached to it. My friends and I will not be eating there for a while.

WTF – RIP Bernie Mac!

CHICAGO — Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper “Ocean’s Eleven” and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom “The Bernie Mac Show,” died Saturday at age 50.

“Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital,” his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.

She said no other details were available and asked that his family’s privacy be respected.

The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.

Recently, Mac’s brand of comedy caught him flack when he was heckled during a surprise appearance at a July fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate and fellow Chicagoan Barack Obama.

Toward the end of a 10-minute standup routine, Mac joked about menopause, sexual infidelity and promiscuity, and used occasional crude language. The performance earned him a rebuke from Obama’s campaign.

But despite controversy or difficulties, in his words, Mac was always a performer.

“Wherever I am, I have to play,” he said in 2002. “I have to put on a good show.”
