Oh NOM, you’re not having a very good year are you dahlings?

You’ve lost multiple court cases, and heres another one to add to your collection.

The Washington DC Court of Appeals ruled 5-4 this morning to reject a bid to put marriage equality to a public vote.  The Human Rights Campaign reports via press release:

“The court’s ruling today is a significant victory for justice, the rule of law and the protection of all D.C. residents against discrimination,” said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese. “It’s time for the National Organization for Marriage to realize equality is here to stay no matter how much money they want to throw at turning back the clock.” In its decision, the Court of Appeals, D.C.’s highest court, decided 5-4 that the Council properly exercised its authority under the D.C. Charter in establishing the requirement that a proposed initiative may not authorize, or have the effect of authorizing, discrimination prohibited by the D.C. Human Rights Act.

The Court ruled unanimously that the proposed initiative would in fact impermissibly permit discrimination against gays and lesbians in the District. “The D.C. Council made a wise decision decades ago that no initiative should be permitted to strip away any individual’s civil rights. The Court unanimously found that the proposed anti-marriage initiative would have the effect of causing discrimination, and in doing so, stood up for the entire D.C. community,” said Solmonese.

The HRC notes that while Maryland-based Bishop Harry Jackson (above) is the person most connected with the bid to overturn gay marriage in DC, the driving forces behind the now-failed initiative were the Alliance Defense Fund and NOM. Another win for the good guys today and a big FAIL buzzer for Bishop Harry!

Just in time to kick-off of the holiday shopping season, HRC is releasing our annual buyers guide that rates hundreds of popular American brands on their businesses’ treatment of LGBT employees. “Buying for Equality 2010” divides businesses and their consumer products into red, yellow and green categories based on their score on the HRC Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index, a nationally recognized benchmark of LGBT inclusion. The guide — previous versions of which have been viewed and downloaded more than 300,000 times — is available for download and viewing online at www.hrc.org/buyersguide.

The LGBT community is estimated to have $712 billion in buying power this year, according to research by Witeck-Combs Communications and MarketResearch.com. A recent study by Witeck-Combs/Harris Interactive also found that 78 percent of LGBT people are extremely or very likely to consider brands that are known to provide equal workplace benefits for their employees, including LGBT workers.

Said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese:

“Congress is currently considering the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, a critical piece of workplace legislation that will include our community. Until all LGBT Americans get fair treatment in the workplace, we must support businesses that support us. By purchasing products from businesses that support LGBT equality, shoppers send a clear message to businesses that their support, or lack thereof, will directly impact their bottom line.”

“From determining which car to purchase, to the right holiday gift for the kids, to everyday grocery shopping, this guide harnesses the power of equality-minded shoppers. At this moment it’s critically important that businesses hear that their customers support businesses that support us,” said Solmonese.

Fair-minded consumers are also encouraged to write to businesses to either thank them for their support, ask them revise their policies, or encourage them to participate in the Corporate Equality Index. More information can be found at www.hrc.org/consumeradvocacy.

And you know, I kinda agree!

HRC are under the impression that the LGBT community would be just fine with waiting until 2017 to get gay rights, they are also under the impression that Obama will be elected for a second term, or maybe, they stupidly believe he already has.

The below was posted at Advocate.

Blogger Andrew Sullivan issued a video calling for Human Rights Campaign president Joe Solmonese to resign, saying the organization “has 20 years of zero achievement for gay rights in Washington, D.C.”

Sullivan spoke on Saturday at the Equality to End HIV/AIDS Rally and Vigil at the Ellipse in front of the White House, just before President Obama was due to address HRC at its national dinner.

The gay blogger said he was prompted by an e-mail from Solmonese late last week that suggested HRC would give President Obama until 2017, the end of his potential second term, to fulfill his campaign promises to LGBT Americans.

“I am incensed, infuriated, and I think Solmonese should resign as soon as possible,” said Sullivan in the video (below). “I’m not tolerating this. None of us should tolerate this anymore.”

He continued to blast HRC for its perceived accommodation.

“They’re basically the battered wife of the Democratic Party establishment, and it’s time they walked out the door,” he said.

They said “There’s a storm coming”

Now its OUR TURN.

Time and time again we wonder how such hateful organizations such as the National Organization For Marriage gain and keep followers (we call them sheep).

Offline, they get them in churches, but online its with social networking sites, Facebook and Myspace.

Now think for a second, they control what they want its sheep to hear offline, how do they do it online?

Easy.

They control whats permitted onto their group pages.

If you go into their group and and say you have been with your partner of 10 years, have children and would love to get married, they will erase your post…do you think the same happens to the post where you promptly get called a child molester and a pervert?

No.

Whats beautiful about this, is that by allowing this, they are breaking Facebooks “Statement of Rights and Responsibilities

Section 3.7 clearly states:

You will not post content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or that contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.

Section 3.10

You will not use Facebook to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.

Do you like the fact that they are allowed to break the rules and will continue to do so until WE complain?

Do you like the fact they are using propaganda to take away your rights?

Please join the group, and HELP get NOM banned from Facebook, if they are banned from Facebook they are unable to to spread hate and propaganda, this will HELP the LGBT get the rights they DESERVE!

The president of an organization dedicated to exposing the homosexual activist agenda believes President Barack Obama will alienate many Americans when he speaks this weekend at a meeting of the largest homosexual-rights group in the nation.

On Saturday night, Obama will deliver the keynote address at the 13th annual National Dinner in Washington, DC — an annual event organized by the Human Rights Campaign, the largest homosexual activist group in the United States.

Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, says it is clear President Obama is trying to appease homosexual activists, many of whom have been vocal about their disappointment with the chief executive.

“The problem with having the homosexual lobby as an ally is that they’re very loud and obnoxious — and if they don’t get their way immediately, they start carping and complaining,” says LaBarbera. (WTF – thats right, we learnt from the church ;-p)

“That’s what they’ve been doing — they’re saying Obama is not moving fast enough,” he continues. “But the further and faster Obama moves on the gay agenda, the more he will alienate mainstream and middle-of-the-road Americans.”

LaBarbera points out that HRC has “Bible studies” online that claim homosexuality is not sinful. Among those studies is one HRC says is designed to train individuals to “move people of faith and congregations from acceptance to public advocacy.”

A little info about Peter and his small pecker:

Peter LaBarbera, 47, is president of Americans For Truth (about Homosexuality, or AFTAH), a group dedicated to exposing the homosexual activist agenda. Founded as a part-time venture in 1996 but reorganized in August 2006, AFTAH seeks to apply the same single-minded determination to opposing the radical homosexual agenda and standing for God-ordained sexuality and the natural family as countless homosexual groups do in promoting their harmful agenda.

Americans For Truth is a rare single-issue national group on the other side of this critical “culture war” issue. Meanwhile, there are over a dozen national American “gay” groups with annual budgets ranging from just under $1 million to over $30 million working to advance this agenda — which threatens to criminalize Christian opposition to behavior that most Americans believe is wrong.

To reach LaBarbera and Americans For Truth, call 630-717-7631 or e-mail: americansfortruth@comcast.net. Fax: 630-839-0799. Regular mail: Americans For Truth, P.O. Box 5522, Naperville, IL 60567-5522.

I love it when he mentions the GAY AGENDA yet fails to explain what it actually is.

So whats wrong Peter? Why are YOU afraid of gay people, I mean…there’s not many of us after all.
