Sistah should really change her Facebook privacy settings.

The very same teacher that was spouting anti-gay bullshit on Facebook was also sorry and outraged over a 14year old teenager committing suicide in New York.

I mean..WTF?! Does she not know that its because of the shit she says that teenagers commit suicide!

Pathetic.

UPDATE! I have found more posts by Viki. Oh the irony.

Maggie? Maggie Gallagher? Are you there dear? I’ve just found your new spokeswhore.

First a little info on Viki, courtesy of her Facebook page:

UNION TOWNSHIP — School officials in Union Township are investigating allegations that a teacher at Union High School posted comments on her Facebook site criticizing a school display recognizing Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender History Month and calling homosexuality “perverted.”

Herro! I'm a bigot!

On Saturday, a local attorney who said he had initially been contacted by a parent, wrote to the district calling for the teacher’s dismissal.

The lawyer, John Paragano, a former township councilman, provided the district with what he said was a copy of the Facebook thread that included the offending remarks.

A copy was also provided to The Star-Ledger, in which the teacher, Viki Knox, allegedly referred to homosexuality as, “a perverted spirit that has existed from the beginning of creation,” and a “sin” that “breeds like cancer.”

“Hateful public comments from a teacher cannot be tolerated,” wrote Paragano, also a former Union Township Municipal Court judge. “She has a right to say it. But she does not have a right to keep her job after saying it.”

Union Chief School Administrator Patrick Martin said the district is investigating the incident.

Knox, 49, of Union Township, is also the faculty adviser to the high school’s student prayer group, The Seekers Fellowship, the local chapter of a nationwide organization.

Knox did not respond to requests for comment. But two other people who wrote comments on the thread said Paragano’s copy was authentic.

Township resident Judy Amorosa challenged Knox directly on Facebook, writing “What kind of a Christian are you? God made each and every one of us — gay, straight, black, white, Christian, Jew, blond, brunette — and we should all love each other.”

The case raises broader questions about rights of teachers to speak freely in the age of social media.

It has also prompted gay rights advocates to question the ability of teachers who express such views to enforce New Jersey’s new anti-bullying law, adopted last spring in the wake of the suicide of Tyler Clementi, a Rutgers student who killed himself after learning he had been watched, via webcam, having sex with another man.

The American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey released a statement defending Knox’s First Amendment right to make the comments.

“Although we do not agree with the sentiments expressed on Ms. Knox’s personal Facebook page, her comments are protected by the First Amendment,” stated Ed Barocas, the group’s legal director. “The ACLU believes that the response to offensive speech is not the restriction of speech, but more speech.”

Barocas added, “The school has the right to investigate whether she is performing her job in accordance with school policies and the state’s Law Against Discrimination.”

But Garden State Equality, a gay rights group, joined the lawyer Paragano in calling for the teacher’s dismissal.

“Teachers are supposed to be role models for our children, not hatemongers,” said Steven Goldstein, who chairs the group. “I don’t see how this teacher could possibly be effective in implementing the state’s new anti-bullying law, designed precisely to teach children that bullying, including cyber-bullying, is unacceptable.”

Matthew Shepards mother Judy Shepard shares her thoughts  and feelings on the 13th anniversary of her sons death.

Thirteen years ago this week his father, brother and I were at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo., with our firstborn son, Matthew Shepard. He was 21, and dying. Just days before, he had been just like millions of American college students whose names are not known to the world — getting the hang of his new classes, adapting to a new campus, making friends. His father and I thought his biggest challenges were keeping money in his checking account and getting his homework in on time.

But here he was in intensive care, the victim of a terrible, senseless attack at the hands of two other young men who, at some point in their lives, learned it was OK to hate others for being different, to victimize them, to disregard their humanity.

Matt passed away quietly in the early morning hours of Oct. 12, 1998, with his family at his bedside. He died because of violence fueled by anti-gay hatred. For a lot of reasons, some of which we will probably never quite understand, the world had been watching, praying for him, and voicing their outrage.

October cannot go by anymore, and never will again, without us wondering what might have been, for us and for so many other families, if hatred of gay, and lesbian, and bisexual, and transgendered people, and all those whom others simply think might be, had been rooted out long ago.

Well that what the assholes at the LAPD seem to think.

All day I have been thinking about what article I should be posting to symbolize the return of WTFBlog, and then I saw James posting something on Facebook, and I remembered his story.

From change.org:

On August 31, 2009 James Hornik was brutally raped by another male in Hollywood, California, as one does when they have being subjected to a crime, he contacted the LAPD assuming that since. he was a, ya know, a tax paying citizen he would be treated like any other person needing help.

Boy was James in for a surprise!

When James asked if he could press charges, the officer simply replied with

“A gay man can’t be raped”

Mr. Hornik was then  treated at Cedars Sinai Hospital but was denied a forensic rape collection kit by the LAPD, whose job it is to issue such kits through their forensic team. If however…James had been a woman with boobs and a pussy, he would of no doubt being taken to the hospital and fully examined.

Which is odd really when according to the California Penal Code, rape is an “act of sexual intercourse or penetration, however slight, which is sufficient to complete the crime“. So why exactly would the LAPD deny him the right to press charges? It makes no fucking sense at all!

James Hornik has been fighting for more understanding and recognition that men (gay or straight) can be raped ever since that muggy night in August of 2009 with very little help at all. He has contacted organizations such as LAMBDA Legal, the ACLU, the NoH8 Campaign and various others only to be denied help and led in circles. Mr. Hornik even filed the proper complaints with the city, county and the LAPD internal investigation team. The LAPD was exonerated from any wrong doing or neglect by the mayor.

So what can you do to help? Well for one thing you can sign the petition that is demanding the LAPD make a formal apology to Mr. Hornik and the citizens of Los Angeles County, this will also hopefully change how they men are treated when they have being affected by rape.

So my home country of the UK may have the best New Years celebrations in the world, but I sometimes thing we have the most craziest fuckers in the world too!

The 22-year-old is believed to have carried out the horrifying DIY castration in a bid to change sex.

He waited nearly 24 hours before staggering into hospital. On arriving at accident and emergency, he told stunned staff he had felt “a lot less pain” than he had expected.

He left after being treated with swabs and stitches – and was advised to seek psychiatric help.

A spokesman for Derbyshire’s Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Trust said last night: “A man in his early twenties presented himself at the hospital minus his testicles, which he had removed the previous day.

“He was treated, then discharged from A&E. We can say no more because of patient confidentiality – but this is pretty unusual.”

It is believed the man, who has not been named, was suffering from “gender confusion issues” and may have been attempting a home sex change before hurling his unwanted privates into Queens Park, Chesterfield.

One local said: “It makes your eyes water just thinking about it.

“A few people have stopped walking their dogs in the park for fear of what they’ll dig up.”

When I need my daily dose of crazy shit to read, I head over to the National Organization For Marriage’s Facebook page, I mean where else can I see people that are obsessed with gay sex, poop (hi Nick Jones!), and Jesus…all on the same page!

Meet Alida Martinez Zervos, our first “Homophobe Of The Day”, Alida loves to go around saying gay people are not “Normal” and that…if gay marriage was legal..people would want to marry their pets (how original, right?)

And here is what she thinks about us gays, I find it hilarious that she later goes on to  preach that Christians shouldn’t judge, because that’s Gods bidness.

Thoughts?
